X River, the boat connection from Bibione to Lignano Sabbiadoro through the mouth of the Tagliamento river, is active during the weekends until 3rd of November.

The service is dedicate to anyone whishing to reach the Friulian shore (and vice versa) on foot and by bicycle. The boat, in fact, is suitable for the transport of up to 25 persons, bikes included.

In this way the two seaside resorts divided by the Tagliamento river become closer and the network of cycle paths becomes larger!

The Lignano Sabbiadoro boat mooring is located near Alla Vecchia Finanza Restaurant and Marina Uno south pier (Lignano Riviera), while that on the Bibione bank is located at about 1 km upstream Bibione Lighthouse.

The ticket is 1€ per person, bike included; children less than 10 years old free of charge.

During the 2024 season X River operates from 29 March to 03 November.
Outside the bathing season, runs are limited to public holidays and weekends.

The service is accessible to people with disabilities, pushchairs and dogs (on a leash) following the captain's instructions.
The service may be suspended or cancelled in the event of bad weather.
The cost of the crossing is 1€ per person, children up to 10 years of age travel free accompanied by an adult. 
Tickets can be purchased on board or at authorised ticket offices, including the Bibione Lighthouse (during opening days and hours).
